I had the pleasure of playing at a night put on by the awesome Distortion crew last weekend, and true to style, the night didn't disappoint. Vaski and Helicopter showdown were the headliners and both sets blew my mind with well-thought out and ridiculously heavy bass--everything you want in a dubstep night.
Vaski was incredibly active throughout his set and his energy levels set the tone for the dancefloor. The passion this guy has for his music seeped through into every track he played, and the crowd were feeling it as well. It's always great to see a DJ and producer who knows how to perform, not just to play, and Vaski definitely falls under this category. He's an awesome guy to boot.
Helicopter Showdown did their trademark insanely heavy, ADD-style dubstep set which just overflowed with intensity--just the way we like it! Towards the end of the set no classic was withheld, and, predictably, the crowd went nuts.
Acetone was the main support act--they're a Sydney duo with incredible production skills. They opened with 'Dare', one of their new bangers and set the mood for the night.
Special shout-out goes to Enochi for his awesome warm-up set and of course my boys Danual and Deli from Distortion who made sure the night ran smoothly as ever.
