This is an interview I've been itching to do for sometime, and I felt like a kid in a candy shop when they agreed to let me interview them for the blog. This duo is so massive they need no introduction, so without further ado check out what Bar 9 have to say about dubstep, the UK music scene and just how they get that sick sound we all love...


1. What does dubstep mean to you?

Beats and Bass

2. Describe the typical Bar 9 fan.

3. Tell us about your name...how did you come up with it?

Long story........

4. How do you find the electronic music scene in the UK?

The UK has probably got one of the best music scenes in the world, there is always something going on!!!

5. What's the most memorable gig you've ever played?

Too many to count, Too much madness

6. Talk to us about your software and plug-ins...

At the moment we are using Logic 9 to write all our stuff but we have used most DAW`s over the years. We mainly use software however we have just bought a Juno60 analog synth so we are using that at the moment.

7. If you could see any artist (alive or dead, past or present) in concert, who would it be?

Micheal Jackson amongst others.

8. Top five tracks to play live?

9. What excites you most about making music? Making that killa drop that will smash up a rave.

10. What's next next for Bar 9?

We are working on a new EP which will be out early next year amongst various remixes.
